An explosion was heard before dawn, Reuters reported. Traffic on the bridge has been halted, and unverified photos on social media show much of the road split from the rest of the bridge and droop to one side near the water. Ukrainian officials have not issued an official comment.
Meanwhile, Russia has seized the domestic operations of the French food maker Danone and the Danish beer company Carlsberg, and threatened to seize further Western assets in retaliation, the Russian government said.
