Seattle — Colorado Rockies Catcher Elias Diaz named 2023 All-Star Game MVP Tuesday night

Entering Tuesday, the National League team was on a nine-game losing streak in the All-Star Game. The last time they won was in 2012, when they beat the American League 8-0.
Diaz, 32, made his All-Star debut. 277 with nine home runs and 45 RBIs in 80 games before his hiatus.
Nine seasons with the Pittsburgh Pirates (2015-2019), rocky mountains (2020-23), Diaz is a career .248 hitter with 51 home runs and 231 RBI in 567 games.
